INTERNAL MEDICINE
Many of the more common disorders that affect your pet, such as chronic kidney disease, diabetes, pancreatitis, and asthma, are treated by internal medicine specialists.
At Hope Veterinary Specialists, our Internal Medicine Service treats these conditions, as well as gastrointestinal disease, acute renal failure, acute and chronic liver disease, protein-losing disorders, immune-mediated diseases, respiratory disease (including lungs and nose), Addison’s disease, Cushing’s disease, gallbladder disease, and more.
Our doctors work in conjunction with your primary care veterinarian and our other in-house services, such as Emergency and Diagnostic Imaging, to ensure that your pet’s condition is properly managed and that we achieve the best possible outcome. We also provide advanced services, including gastrointestinal endoscopy and colonoscopy, tracheobronchoscopy, rhinoscopy, cystoscopy, bone marrow aspiration, and biopsy. We work closely with the Diagnostic Imaging Service to coordinate ultrasound examinations, computed tomography scans, and contrast studies. We also provide feeding tube placement and nutritional planning.
Long-term management is often required for pets who see an internal medicine specialist, and relationships are an important part of the process. Hope VS provides the medical expertise your pet deserves, with the compassion and understanding your entire family needs.
The Internal Medicine Service at Hope VS consists of 2 specialists and 2 dedicated nurses and offers appointments Monday through Friday.
