CARDIOLOGY

Dogs and cats can experience many of the same heart conditions that affect people, including irregular heart rhythms (arrhythmias), narrowing of the heart valves (aortic and pulmonary stenosis), infection and inflammation of the heart muscle and valves (endocarditis), and congestive heart failure.

The Cardiology Service at Hope Veterinary Specialists, which consists of 3 board-certified cardiologists and 2 dedicated cardiology nurses, provides the expertise needed to diagnose and treat your pet's specific condition. Hope VS offers complete cardiac evaluations, including echocardiography, ECG analysis, and blood pressure measurement. We also offer additional services such as Holter monitor placement and interpretation, pacemaker placement and interrogation, and interventional procedures under the guidance of fluoroscopy.

The Hope VS Cardiology Service works closely with referring veterinarians to provide exceptional medical care. We pride ourselves on our client communication and strive to ensure that our clients understand the complexities of their pet’s condition. Our cardiologists are always available to consult on cases managed by other specialty services at Hope VS, including the emergency service.

Appointments with Hope cardiologists are available Monday through Friday, and occasionally some Saturdays. Emergent cardiology consultations are provided through our emergency service seven days a week.

The special people here are top notch, compassionate and accommodating. Thank you all so much for treating Smokey with TLC medication during our difficult ordeal.
