After 38 years of practice in veterinary ophthalmology, Dr. Stephen Gross will be retiring from veterinary medicine. We wish him all the best as he moves on to retirement and we are grateful to him for bringing ophthalmology to Hope. Although he will be greatly missed at Hope Veterinary Specialists, we know Dr. Gross will enjoy being able to spend extra time with his family and two adopted rescue dogs!
Dr. Gross will continue to see recheck appointments until Wednesday, December 19th. No new appointments will be scheduled. Our ophthalmology team has been preparing for Dr. Gross’ retirement in order to ensure a smooth transition of your pet’s care. Dr. Elizabeth Lutz, Dr. Gross’ fellow ophthalmologist, is at Hope four days a week and is excited to carry on the torch for Dr. Gross.
What do I do for continued ophthalmic care for my pet?
Rest assured your pet is in good hands if you should need continued care. We will be able to refill your pet’s medication until the required time of your recheck appointment. If your pet is experiencing a new problem or illness, you may be asked to be seen by Dr. Lutz to ensure we are on the right path for your pet’s care.
Dr. Lutz is available at Hope Tuesday through Friday and Wednesday through Saturday on an alternating basis. If you have any questions about your pet’s ongoing care, please do not hesitate to reach out to our team members at 610-296-2099.
