Dr. Siobhan Haney received board certification in radiation oncology from the American College of Veterinary Radiology in 2008. Her professional interests include palliative care/quality of life for cancer patients and synergism between chemotherapy and radiation therapy. She has provided radiation oncology services at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital since 2007 and joined Hope Veterinary Specialists in the spring of 2013.
Dr. Haney graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. After completing a medical and surgical internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital, she completed a residency in radiation oncology at Tufts University. She obtained an MS in biology from Rutgers University in Camden, New Jersey, and completed the Executive MBA program at the Pennsylvania State University in 2014. Prior to attending veterinary school, she received a BS from The George Washington University, where she was the recipient of an NCAA Division I full athletic scholarship for gymnastics.
Dr. Haney was the first board-certified veterinary radiation oncologist to practice in Chester County, Pennsylvania. She lives in Malvern with her husband, a veterinary surgeon, their daughter, and 2 cats.
Dr. Haney has authored/coauthored several scientific studies in multiple peer-reviewed journals and actively participates in ongoing multi-institutional clinical trials. She has presented scientific research at the annual Veterinary Cancer Society meeting and is an active member of the Veterinary Radiation Therapy Oncology Group.
