Dr. Melissa Ogg graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. She joined Hope Veterinary Specialists in 2015 after completing a 1-year rotating internship at a specialty hospital in Delaware. In addition to her love of emergency medicine, Dr. Ogg also has an affinity for internal medicine, oncology, and radiology.
Dr. Ogg obtained a BBA from Temple University in 2003 and was an actuarial consultant in health benefits before deciding to attend veterinary school. She worked as a receptionist in the Emergency Service at the Matthew J. Ryan Veterinary Hospital while she pursued her veterinary degree. She also worked in the Section of Medical Genetics, helping to develop a database of hereditary diseases in dogs and cats to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of genetic diseases.
Dr. Ogg grew up in Broomall, Pennsylvania. In her free time, she enjoys baking, exploring the Philadelphia restaurant scene, and traveling to Bermuda. She is the proud owner of 2 rambunctious cats named Little Foot and Gremlin, both sisters that she adopted from ACCT Philly.
