Dr. Maya Aharon received her DVM from Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in Grafton, Massachusetts, in 2008. She is passionate about all aspects of care of critically ill patients and their families.
Following graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Aharon completed a 1-year rotating internship in small animal medicine at Angell in Boston. She then entered practice for several years as an emergency clinician in Bedford Hills, New York. In 2014 she completed a 3-year residency in emergency and critical care at Animal Medical Center, New York. Prior to attending veterinary school, she obtained a BS in Biology from Hebrew University in Jerusalem in 2000.
Dr. Aharon credits her volunteer experience at a wildlife refuge in the rain forests of Bolivia for starting her on the path to veterinary medicine. When not at work, she is devoted to her cats, dog, and 2-legged family members.
