DVM - Surgical Resident
Dr. Lindsay Schmidt has been a surgical resident at Hope Veterinary Specialists since 2015. Her surgical interests include reconstructive and oncologic surgery, as well as urogenital surgery and maxillofacial surgery.
Dr. Schmidt graduated from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and began her career as a general practitioner in Seattle, Washington, and Billings, Montana. She developed a passion for surgery and completed surgical internships at Midwest Veterinary Referral Center in Chesterfield, Missouri; Veterinary Specialty Center in Buffalo Grove, Illinois; and Chesapeake Veterinary Surgical Specialists in Maryland prior to joining Hope Veterinary Specialists. She obtained a Bachelors degree in Zoology with an Ecology Minor from Washington State University in 2004.
Dr. Schmidt’s extensive experience has been enhanced by her surgical training and knowledge of surgical diseases and treatment options. Upon completion of her surgical residency at Hope Veterinary Specialists, Dr. Schmidt will seek board certification as a veterinary surgeon by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons.
Dr. Schmidt lives with her 2 furry children (cats), Bean and Smokey. She enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, and gardening.
