Laurie Prober

Dr. Laurie Prober has been board certified in internal medicine by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine since 2009. She has special interest in endocrinology, hepatobiliary disease, urology, and immune-mediated and infectious diseases. She is head of Hope Veterinary Specialists's infectious disease committee and is a mentor with their Pre-Veterinary Clinical Assistant program.

Dr. Prober graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. She completed a rotating internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in 2005 and a residency in internal medicine at Michigan State University in 2008. She was co-head of the internal medicine service at Veterinary Specialists of Rochester, a multi-specialty and 24-hour emergency hospital in New York, prior to joining Hope Veterinary Specialists in 2011. Dr. Prober obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Haverford College in 2000.

Dr. Prober has always loved science and grew up surrounded by animals. By middle school, she realized that veterinary medicine was the perfect balance of these important aspects of her life. Throughout high school and college, she pursued a life in veterinary medicine, working with animals in any way she could. As she started her career in veterinary medicine she found that internal medicine was ideal for her as it allowed her to connect with her patients and their families as she managed their long-term care.
