Dr. Ellen Davison received board certification in cardiology from the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2009. She has a special interest in the management of feline and canine heart failure, feline cardiomyopathies, and congenital heart disease.
Dr. Davison graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001 after obtaining a BS in engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. She worked in general practice for 5 years in Wilmington, Delaware, before returning to the University of Pennsylvania to complete a 3-year residency in veterinary cardiology.
Dr. Davison, who is originally from Seattle, Washington, enjoys spending time with her family and rescuing senior dogs. Her love of senior dogs started when she adopted a 9-year-old research dog named Spot. Spot enjoyed her new life as a family dog and lived to be 13 years of age. Dr. Davison currently has 3 cats, 2 dogs (including a 10-year-old senior rescue dog), and 6 chickens. She enjoys reading, bike riding, and baking.
