Dr. Caitlin Botes has provided relief services for numerous emergency hospitals including Hope Veterinary Specialists since 2013. Her special interests include internal medicine, critical care, and client education. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012, after obtaining a BS in biology and chemistry from West Chester University in 2007.
While attending undergraduate school, Dr. Botes worked as a nursing assistant at a local emergency hospital. Subsequently, she coordinated various research studies with the Veterinary Clinical Investigation Center at the University of Pennsylvania. After receiving her VMD, Dr. Botes practiced at a primary care hospital before focusing on emergency and specialty medicine.
Dr. Botes grew up in Lititz, Pennsylvania, but now lives in Delaware County with her husband and 2 dogs, Lily and Daisy, a maltese and yorkie. Dr. Botes has always had a strong passion for horses and she currently spends much of her free time with her horse, Beau.
