COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

At Hope Veterinary Specialists, we do more than just care for pets and owners within our facility. We extend our services and our passion for animal welfare to the local community as well. We are involved with various groups and organizations in the area to help further their efforts to help both pets and people in need.

Our involvement

  • Local school and sport team sponsorships
  • College mentor programs
  • Community outreach programs
  • Local rescue organizations
  • Drop off location for Toys for Tots and Red Paw Emergency Relief Team donations
  • Participation in local school and veterinary technician college career events
  • Yearly charitable donations to organizations that the Hope VS team personally selects.
  • Support of Henry's Cupboard, a pet food pantry to assist area income-eligible pet-owners
  • Provide educational lectures to local EMS and response teams who may encounter pet emergencies
  • Free continuing education seminars for our local community of veterinarians and technicians
  • Educational lectures for our community (Senior Pets, Pet Cancer Awareness)
  • Free yearly ocular screening eye exams to qualified service & working animals
  • Provide specialty veterinary & emergency care to the Chester County Sherriff's K9 Unit at no cost.
  • Participation in Puppy Up, a foundation that raises funds for comparative oncology research to better understand the links between human and animal cancer.
  • Participation in American Cancer Society Bike-A-Thon, helping to raise $12,400 in 2018 with our Hope VS team of 24 riders. All riders finished the grueling 66-mile trek to the shore

I found the staff at Hope to be just awesome. I cannot put into words how much I think of Dr Orsini and his staff.
