Bailey was indeed a very special part of our family and knowing that he received such excellent care from such a wonderful group of people has made this difficult time for us more bearable.

Small animal internal medicine encompasses a range of diseases—both acute and chronic—involving, but not limited to, the respiratory, renal, hepatic, gastrointestinal, endocrine, and immune systems. The internal medicine service at Hope Veterinary Specialists works in conjunction with your primary care veterinarian as well as with our other in-house services, such as emergency and diagnostic imaging, to be sure your pet’s condition is properly managed and that we achieve the best possible outcome.
Some of the more common disorders our internists see include gastrointestinal disease, chronic and acute renal failure, protein-losing disorders, immune-mediated diseases, respiratory disease, diabetes, Addison’s disease and Cushing’s disease.
Advanced services provided by our internal medicine service include gastrointestinal endoscopy and colonoscopy, tracheobronchoscopy, and bone marrow aspiration and biopsy; we also provide feeding tube placement and nutritional planning.
Long-term management is often required for pets who see an internist, and relationships are an important part of the process. Hope VS provides the medical expertise your pet deserves- with the compassion and understanding the whole family needs.
Made up of two specialists and three dedicated nurses, the internal medicine service at Hope VS is Monday through Friday.
