Bailey was indeed a very special part of our family and knowing that he received such excellent care from such a wonderful group of people has made this difficult time for us more bearable.
Lindsay Schmidt, DVM- Surgical Resident
Dr. Lindsay Schmidt joined the Hope Surgical Team in August of 2015 as a Surgical Resident. She graduated from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and began her career as a general practitioner in Seattle Washington and Billings, Montana. During that time, her love for surgery grew, leading her to decide to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinary surgeon.
Dr. Schmidt began her journey in specialty practice with surgical internships at Midwest Veterinary Referral Center in Chesterfield, MO, Veterinary Specialty Center in Buffalo Grove, IL and Chesapeake Veterinary Surgical Specialists in MD prior to joining Hope Veterinary Specialists. Her surgical experience and knowledge as a general practitioner has been further enhanced by her opportunity to train aside some the most prominent and technologically advanced board certified veterinary surgeons in our field.
Her surgical interests include reconstructive and oncologic surgery as well as urogenital surgery and maxillofacial surgery. Upon completion of this surgical internship, Dr. Schmidt hopes to continue her pursuit toward becoming a Board Certified Veterinary Surgeon by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons.
