Dr. Siobhan Haney is our first radiation oncologist at Hope Veterinary Specialists, and the first board-certified veterinary radiation oncologist to practice in Chester county, PA. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a VMD in 2004. She received a BS from The George Washington University, where she was the recipient of an NCAA Div. I full athletic scholarship for gymnastics. She attended Rutgers University in Camden, NJ for the completion of an MS in Biology, and the Executive MBA program at the Pennsylvania State University in 2014. After completing a medical and surgical internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital, she completed a residency in Radiation Oncology at Tufts University and became board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Radiology (Radiation Oncology) in 2008. She has been practicing Radiation Oncology at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital since 2007 and joined Hope VS in the spring of 2013.
Dr. Haney has authored/ coauthored several scientific studies in multiple peer-reviewed journals and actively participates in ongoing multi-institutional clinical trials. She has presented scientific research at the annual Veterinary Cancer Society meeting and is an active member of the Veterinary Radiation Therapy Oncology Group. Her professional interests include palliative care/ quality of life for cancer patients and synergism between chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
