Anna Massey, VMD
Dr. Anna Massey is originally from Florida. For her undergraduate studies, she attended the University of Pennsylvania, where she double majored in biology and history. She then continued on to graduate from the University of Pennsylvania School Of Veterinary Medicine in 2005.
Both prior to (beginning in 1995) and during vet school, Anna was a nurse in the emergency service at the Matthew J. Ryan Veterinary Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. By nursing in a service that at that time saw more than 1,000 cases a month, Dr. Massey developed exceptional triage, assessment, and technical abilities, all invaluable skills that inform her performance as a doctor.
Dr. Massey has contributed to papers that published in the Journal of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care and to abstracts that have been presented at the International Conference of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care.
Dr. Massey’s special interests include invasive monitoring and instrumentation of critically ill patients, feline urethral obstruction, electrolyte disturbances, Addison’s disease, nephrology, and endocrinology.
